"The Jiyan-Bida Water Supply Project has met the conditions for trial water supply, and the trial water supply begins!" At around 11:00 on December 31, 2024, with the issuance of the command, raw water from the Jiyan Reservoir gushed out from the overflow weir of the Shanjiazhai connecting pool at the project's end in Tangfeng Village, Chahu Town, Qixingguan District, Bijie City, marking the successful trial water supply of the Jiyan-Bida Water Supply Project.

The Jiyan Water Control Project and the Northwestern Guizhou Water Supply Project are known as Guizhou's "Number One Water Conservancy Project" due to their largest reservoir scale, irrigation scale, water supply scale, and investment scale among single water conservancy projects in Guizhou Province, with a total storage capacity of 1.323 billion cubic meters. Upon completion, the project will provide 688 million cubic meters of safe and stable water annually to 10 counties (cities, districts) in Bijie and Zunyi, benefiting a population of 2.67 million and irrigating 900,000 mu of farmland.
